Tissue Processing Technician

Job Description

Biostem Technologies is looking for a skilled Tissue Processing Technician to support the processing and documentation of tissue for transplantation purposes. As a Tissue Processing Technician, you will be responsible for processing perinatal tissues, completing daily documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining aseptic environments, and performing equipment cleaning and sterilization tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process perinatal tissues into allograft products in an ISO 5 environment.
• Complete daily documentation of tissue processing.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Maintain aseptic work environments and perform equipment cleaning.
• Perform steam sterilization of instruments and environmental monitoring tasks.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Generate and investigate deviations and change controls.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic technique.
• Bachelor's Degree in science or related field, or Associate degree with relevant experience.
• Experience in GMP manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Physical Demands

• Regularly sit for long periods of time.
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 40 pounds.

Work Environment

PPE Requirements

• Eye protection and foot apparel required in operations area.
• Additional PPE may be necessary for inspecting equipment.
