Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in a part-time capacity at Joyce University.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the repair of facilities and general campus maintenance. The Maintenance Technician will demonstrate proficiency in multiple trades, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can efficiently address a wide range of maintenance issues.

This part-time position is located on our Draper, UT campus.

What You Do Everyday:

• Handle repair/patching, painting/finishing tasks to maintain the aesthetic appearance of campus.
• Repair or replace faulty equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Inspect facilities regularly to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Lifting and moving furniture.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Assemble and install furniture.
• Basic cleaning and groundskeeping, including snow removal.
• Basic skills for troubleshooting plumbing and electrical.
• Collaborate with other team members and vendors on projects as assigned.
• Tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 5+ years experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Licensed in relevant trades is a plus.
