Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg team at Central Vermont Medical Center. Our unit provides care for a diverse patient population, including acute management of chronic diseases, orthopedic and general surgeries. As a nurse in our fast-paced and supportive environment, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and foster an atmosphere of excellence.

Unit Description

Our Medical/Surgical Unit consists of 2 South (42 beds) and 2 North (9 beds). We offer a unique culture that values teamwork, growth, and open communication. You will work with experienced and new graduate nurses, licensed nursing assistants, physicians, and healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Vermont.
• Experience in a medical/surgical setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
