Staff Nurse II/III

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse II/III to join the Addiction Treatment Center at The University of Vermont Medical Center. As a Staff Nurse, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients in various states of health and illness through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans. The role entails working as part of a multidisciplinary team, taking charge of operational needs, and serving as a positive role model for coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient vitals and withdrawal symptoms.
• Coordinate with toxicology labs and pharmacies.
• Ensure patients receive prescribed medications.
• Provide patient education and support.
• Document patient toxicology results.

Educational Requirements

• Valid RN licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or enrolled in a Bachelor’s program with 5 years to complete.

Experience

• Three years of relevant RN experience with demonstrated competencies.
• Experience in substance use disorder field preferred.
