Job Description

Working America Associa is seeking a motivated Senior State Program Director to lead our programs across assigned states and campaigns. As an affiliate of the AFL-CIO, we are dedicated to uniting working people around a shared economic agenda. The ideal candidate will drive Working America's political and organizational presence in the local progressive community, secure funding, plan and implement campaigns, and enhance member activism.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure achievement of membership recruitment and organizational goals.
  • Train and develop State Program Directors and staff.
  • Represent Working America in local labor councils and allied organizations.
  • Collaborate on turf selection, mobilization, and digital engagement strategies.
  • Set and raise funds and profile within the state(s).

Qualifications

  • Experience in electoral, labor, or progressive politics.
  • Knowledge of labor movement structures.
  • Strong research skills and large data set proficiency.
  • Leadership, team-building, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Salary & Benefits

Starting salary: $73,633. Medical insurance and 401(k) with employer contribution included.
