1st Shift Full-Time Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Aldi is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently fulfilling orders received from stores, relocating merchandise within the warehouse, preparing merchandise for shipment, and participating in warehouse inventory counts. You will also be tasked with maintaining warehouse appearance standards, interacting effectively with peers and warehouse leadership, and providing input to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to effectively fulfill orders received from stores.
• Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and load merchandise strategically in preparation for shipment and unload incoming shipments from trucks/back-hauls.
• Perform general cleaning duties to achieve warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
• Participate in taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines.
• Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership through ongoing communication and exchange of information.
• Provide input to the warehouse management regarding changes to improve processes.
• Inspect product, consult with warehouse management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
• Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and within company policy and procedures.
• Follow the ergonomic program according to established procedures.
• Operate equipment according to safety guidelines in performance of essential job functions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Attention to detail and follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
