Job Description

We are looking for an Academic Instructor to join our team at Career Systems Development Corporation. As an instructor, you will be responsible for conducting academic classes, helping students achieve educational milestones, and creating a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage academic classes.
• Help students achieve TABE gains, attainment in assigned subjects, and/or HSD/HSE obtainment.
• Promote a positive classroom atmosphere that maximizes student motivation.
• Maintain discipline to ensure effective learning.
• Document student records and input relevant data.
• Implement curriculum resources and develop educational plans.
• Integrate applied academic activities into daily curriculum.
• Track student performance and achievement.
• Prepare evaluations and assessments in a timely manner.
• Follow security measures to safeguard equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and certification to teach in the state.
• Preferred one year of teaching experience with disadvantaged youth.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Ability to motivate, inspire, and relate effectively to students.

Physical Requirements

Frequently: Sitting, Standing, Seeing, Hearing, Speaking.

Occasionally: Walking, Bending, Stooping, Squatting, Flexibility.

Seldom: Climbing, Lifting 50 pounds, Carrying, Kneeling, Pushing/Pulling, Running, Driving.

Environmental Demands

Ability to operate office equipment, occasional isolated work, extensive time interacting with teams and departments.
