Job Description
We are looking for a part-time Cashier to join the team at McDowell Store in Mesa, Arizona. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining sales floor standards, and promoting sales for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA). You will be responsible for operating registers, processing payments, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform Point of Sale (POS) functions and handle various forms of payments.
- Solicit cash donations from customers during transactions.
- Determine pricing for merchandise based on type and condition.
- Complete closing procedures, maintain attendance, and greet customers.
- Keep the sales floor organized and follow established standards.
- Stock merchandise in designated areas and make scheduled announcements.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment following Goodwill Core Values.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service and math skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Must be at least 16 years old and pass background check and drug screen.
