Construction Inspector - Wichita

Job Description

Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) is hiring an Experienced Construction Inspector for their Wichita location. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of construction projects with regulations and specifications, covering various disciplines such as civil, municipal, architectural, and more.

Responsibilities

• Inspect a wide range of construction projects to ensure compliance with regulations and contract specifications.
• Review and interpret construction drawings including infrastructure, transportation, and site plans.
• Attend meetings, resolve issues, and make recommendations for necessary changes.
• Prepare reports, track contractor activities, and conduct final inspections.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
• Perform materials testing in the field as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of construction inspection experience.
• Knowledge of construction methods, safety practices, and relevant regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and perform material testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel for projects.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license required.

Tools and Equipment

• Experience with smartphones, computers, tape measures, testing equipment, and relevant software.
• Proficiency in operating measuring tools, engineering calculators, and motor vehicles.
