Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous Cost Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and excellent problem-solving skills are necessary for this role.
Responsibilities
- Calculate monthly revenue and prepare financial project reports.
- Assist in reviewing project EACs and support project managers.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial forecasts.
- Understand and explain variances between actual and forecasted rates.
- Ensure compliance with FAR and CAS regulations.
- Support cost reporting and assist in process improvement.
- Prepare contractual invoices and monitor accounts receivable.
- Assist with cash-flow forecasts and audits.
- Drive continuous process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a cost accountant.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and MS Excel proficiency.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
