Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

Join Northern Manufacturing Co. as a Maintenance Supervisor and lead a dedicated team to ensure equipment reliability, optimize productivity, and maintain a culture of excellence and safety in our dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Minimize plant downtime and prioritize equipment emergencies for optimal factory productivity.
• Supervise daily maintenance team activities, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance management.
• Collaborate with production managers to prioritize maintenance needs and minimize interruptions to workflow.
• Direct installations, setup, and repair of production equipment and machinery.
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs for building, grounds, machinery, and equipment.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project work, corrective, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Research, recommend, and order necessary supplies and manage inventory for maintenance tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections, identify potential issues, and address proactively.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, participating in safety meetings.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices, safety protocols, and equipment operation.

Requirements

• Associates Degree or equivalent from a technical school in engineering or skilled trade; or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience required; Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong employee relations, communication skills, ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience repairing and troubleshooting robots/automation.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities with the capacity to obtain a forklift license.
