Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Director of Finance to lead our financial operations at Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, California. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our hotel to ensure financial objectives are met.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage cash flow and communicate related issues to management.
- Coordinate and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial data to advise management on financial objectives.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Establish and audit internal financial controls.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis as per company requirements.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and ensure compliance with regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
- Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (MBA preferred).
- Strong financial acumen and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and cost control.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
