Job Description

Hiring an HR Generalist for our Metal Plating facility. This is a good position for someone looking to start a career in HR, such as a recent graduate. The ideal candidate would have some exposure to HR department duties, including recruiting, weekly payroll, good time management, ability to enforce policies, employee relations, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA. The primary focus initially will be on recruiting, working as part of a team with our Senior HR Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Establish adequate employee levels
  • Manage the hiring cycle: post job, review applications, determine who to interview, conduct interviews, hire, and handle onboarding & orientation
  • Prepare, process and distribute weekly payroll
  • Explain benefits to employees
  • Ensure timely completion of employee reviews and training
  • Handle first level employee relations and forward major issues to Senior Human Resources Manager
  • Oversee quarterly drug testing and plan company events
  • Manage attendance, enforce policy, complete verification of employment, process terminations, and handle unemployment claims
  • Assist Senior HR Manager as needed and perform other assigned duties and responsibilities

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some entry level accounting background (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or 1 year of human resources experience
