Job Description
We are looking for a Lead Machinist to join our team at Middle River Aerostructure Systems. As a Lead Machinist, you will be working in a prototype, development, and production support machine shop, responsible for creating precision details. Your role will involve programming, operating, and troubleshooting multi-axis NC and manual milling and turning equipment, as well as training other machinists and providing technical expertise to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Program, operate, and troubleshoot multi-axis NC and manual milling and turning equipment.
- Develop work holding methodology and select appropriate tooling and machinery.
- Create setup sheets for machinists and provide technical expertise to customers.
- Lead and train other machinists in performing higher complexity job assignments.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED Equivalent with technical training or relevant experience.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Experience in machining various materials and operating equipment in a machine shop setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
