Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc. As an LPN, you will work under the direction of the Nurse Manager to provide high-quality nursing care to our clients. You will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring client health, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting the well-being and recovery of our clients by engaging in health teaching and counseling under the supervision of the registered professional nurse.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism, respect, and cooperation in all client interactions.
• Administer medications following established protocols.
• Monitor clients for signs of intoxication or medication side effects.
• Maintain accurate medication records and client medical documentation.
• Provide supportive care and health counseling within the scope of practice.
• Participate in job training, education programs, and professional development activities.
• Maintain good working relationships and collaborate with colleagues.

Requirements

• Current NYS LPN License and Infection Control Certificate.
• Minimum one year of experience as an LPN, preferably in a substance abuse treatment program.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficiency with computers and documentation systems.
• Must have sight and digital senses or prosthetics to perform essential job functions.
