Job Description
The Maintenance Technician at Freeman Webb Company is responsible for the overall maintenance of the physical plant, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager. The role involves participating in various maintenance projects, performing electrical and plumbing repairs, carpentry and painting work, as well as assisting with custodial and grounds work when necessary.
Responsibilities
- EPA and HVAC certification preferred.
- CPO certification preferred.
- Perform a variety of maintenance projects.
- Conduct electrical and plumbing repairs, carpentry and painting work.
- Assist with custodial and grounds work when necessary.
- Participate in an emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
- Be responsible for stock control and utilization of maintenance materials.
- Assist in scheduling annual apartment inspections and refurbishing prior to resident occupancy.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment based on manufacturers' recommendations.
- Periodically inspect all units, buildings, and common areas, performing repairs and janitorial assistance as scheduled.
- Maintain adequate stock of supplies and materials, ensuring organized, clean, and safe workshop/storage areas.
- Ensure work-safety programs are adhered to.
- Willingness to work in areas other than repair maintenance, including janitorial, custodial, gardening, etc.
