Job Description

We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee our production operations at Select Industries Corp. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes while minimizing costs. If you are highly competent, possess strong leadership skills, and have a background in metal stamping, we want you to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the plans and work schedules of assigned departments to optimize employee utilization and material efficiency.
  • Assist the Manager in meeting production rates, quality, quantity, and safety standards.
  • Train and develop associates, ensuring performance expectations are met and maintained.
  • Analyze data for causes of scrap and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with leadmen to improve press setups and job output.
  • Ensure employees adhere to standard production rates and address safety issues promptly.
  • Plan and schedule equipment maintenance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend personnel actions.
  • Communicate goals, plans, and results to associates.
  • Direct and supervise associates to ensure adherence to schedules and quality requirements.
  • Work towards company goals such as on-time delivery, scrap reduction, and maintaining 5-S principles.
  • Follow IATF16949 Standards and enforce proper PPE practices.
  • Perform other job duties as requested.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience, including staffing decisions.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing or leadership background in metal stamping preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Stamping, Dies, and Presses.
  • Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to foster teamwork.

Physical Demands

  • Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend as needed.
  • Good eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to high noise levels from operating machines.
