Primary Objective & Scope of Position
This position at Slumberland Furniture involves the movement, storage, and distribution of merchandise. The Material Handler will lead by example and provide training to other employees to ensure operational efficiency.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities
- Move and organize merchandise for space optimization.
- Transfer merchandise to/from show floor, wrapping for storage, delivery, or shipment.
- Utilize POS systems to manage inventory flow accurately.
- Enhance customer service through professional communication and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to policies, safe handling practices, and risk reduction procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or working towards a GED.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of tools, hardware, and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer skills; POS knowledge desirable.
