Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking dedicated Warehouse Workers with experience in Forklift Operations to join our team. This full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour and immediate hiring opportunities.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position:

The Material Handler role involves handling merchandise, including storing, moving, and distributing products efficiently. Additionally, this position includes providing training to other team members.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Move merchandise to optimize space utilization.
• Transfer merchandise to and from the show floor, ensuring proper display or storage for delivery.
• Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments with care and attention to detail.

Training:

Lead by example and provide training to fellow team members.

Customer Service:

Professionally communicate with customers, colleagues, and vendors to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Other Responsibilities:

Adhere to safety protocols, follow company guidelines, and assist with facility maintenance as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (in progress is acceptable).
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer knowledge, POS experience preferred.
