Job Description
Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience to join our team. This is a full-time position with a competitive starting salary of $17 per hour. Primary Objective & Scope of Position
This position is crucial for the movement of merchandise within our warehouse. Responsibilities include storing, moving, and distributing products efficiently. Additionally, the role involves providing training to other employees and ensuring accurate handling of customer orders.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities
- Move and consolidate merchandise to optimize space usage.
- Handle merchandise transfers to and from the show floor, storage, or shipment.
- Utilize point of sale (POS) systems to manage inventory flow.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming merchandise ensuring quality standards.
- Provide training and leadership to fellow team members.
- Ensure excellent customer service by resolving inventory discrepancies professionally.
- Adhere to safety protocols, maintain equipment, and assist in facility maintenance.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED (or be actively pursuing one), basic math skills, and a valid driver's license. Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly is preferred. Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems are advantageous.
