Job Description

Marion County is seeking a Mental Health Skills Trainer for Supported Employment to positively impact individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses. The vocational specialist will assist individuals in finding and maintaining employment opportunities based on their preferences. Supported Employment focuses on integrating services into treatment, offering job development, career exploration, benefits planning, and ongoing support. Responsibilities

  • Provide Supported Employment services adhering to IPS standards and using a person-centered approach.
  • Offer job coaching, guidance, and coordination including developing job search plans and assisting with applications.
  • Conduct employment research, job development, and maintain relationships with employers.
  • Document clinical information accurately, meet performance standards, and maintain strong communication with the treatment team.

Requirements

  • Three years of relevant experience in behavioral health services or a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field.
  • Possession of a current QMHA certification or ability to register within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid driver's license, passing a criminal background check, and completion of required trainings.
