Job Description
We are hiring for the position of Merchandise Handler at Slumberland Furniture. This full-time role involves efficiently managing merchandise movement, including storing, moving, and distributing products. The job offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour and operates during weekdays without weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently move and consolidate merchandise for optimal space usage.
- Transfer merchandise to and from various locations as needed.
- Utilize the POS system for managing inventory flow.
- Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
- Perform unpacking, inspection, assembly, and wrapping of merchandise.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (in progress is acceptable).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge.
- Desirable: familiarity with POS systems.
Safety and Compliance
Adherence to safety policies and practices, ensuring equipment and merchandise are handled correctly to prevent damage. Uphold risk reduction procedures and maintain a safe, organized facility.
