Job Description
Join the VitalCore Health Strategies Team! We are currently hiring Registered Nurses to work at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl, Mississippi. As a Registered Nurse at VitalCore Health Strategies, you will deliver quality care within the scope of practice as outlined by local regulations and nurse practice acts. Your responsibilities will include administering medications, monitoring patients, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Registered Nurse Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi
- Active CPR certification
- Knowledge of state laws and regulations
- Completion of initial and annual competencies
Registered Nurse Essential Functions
- Maintain accurate records
- Administer medications and monitor patient reactions
- Record medical information and vital signs
- Consult with healthcare team
- Modify treatment plans based on patient responses
- Monitor patient care and conditions
- Supervise healthcare staff
- Prepare patients for examinations or treatments
- Provide health education and develop programs
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Additional duties as assigned
