Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Claims Adjuster I to join our team at EMPLOYERS in New York. This is a remote opportunity with East Coast hours, dealing with workers' compensation claims. The ideal candidate must be licensed in NY and possess 5+ years of experience in New York Work Comp Claims Adjusting.

Job Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of complex workers’ compensation claims.
• Analyze statutes and regulations to make appropriate legal decisions.
• Negotiate claim settlements and handle legal issues.
• Communicate with various stakeholders, including injured workers, employers, and medical providers.
• Proactively manage claim costs, medical treatment, and claim-related activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of NY WC claims adjusting experience.
• Active New York license required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and handle stressful situations professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• AIC, ARM, or CPCU certification.
• Working knowledge of an imaged claims environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
