Job Description
Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking Warehouse Associates with Forklift Operations experience to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary starting at $17 per hour. If you are a motivated individual who enjoys a dynamic work environment, this opportunity is for you!
Primary Objective & Scope of Position:
This position involves handling merchandise movements, including storing, moving, and distributing products efficiently. Leading by example and providing training to other employees are also key responsibilities.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
Merchandise Movement
- Organize merchandise for space efficiency.
- Handle movement of merchandise on the show floor and for deliveries.
- Utilize the POS system for managing inventory.
- Ensure accuracy in customer orders and records.
- Receive incoming shipments and prepare outgoing merchandise.
Training
Lead and provide training to fellow employees.
Customer Service
Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors to maintain inventory accuracy. Resolve discrepancies promptly and keep management informed.
Other Responsibilities
Adhere to safety policies and practices, maintain facility organization, and assist in grounds and building maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer knowledge.
