Job Description
We are looking for dedicated Warehouse Associates to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the movement and organization of merchandise, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position
- Responsible for storing, moving, and distributing products efficiently.
- Lead by example and provide training to other employees.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities
Merchandise Movement
- Move and organize merchandise within locations for space efficiency.
- Handle merchandise for display, storage, delivery, or shipment.
- Utilize point of sale system for managing inventory flow.
- Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
- Manage incoming and outgoing merchandise for inspection, tagging, assembly, and wrapping.
Training
Lead by example and train other employees.
Customer Service
Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Other
Follow lean practices, assist in maintenance tasks, and perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Safety
Adhere to safety policies, maintain equipment properly, and uphold a safe and organized facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards).
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of tools, hardware, and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge.
- Experience with point of sale systems is desirable.
