Warehouse Worker

Job Description

We are looking to fill the position of Warehouse Worker at Slumberland Furniture. This full-time role involves a variety of responsibilities related to merchandise movement and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position:

The Warehouse Worker will play a key role in storing, moving, and distributing products within the warehouse. Additionally, this position involves leading by example and providing training to fellow team members.

Responsibilities:

• Move and organize merchandise to optimize space efficiency.
• Transfer merchandise to and from designated areas.
• Use the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and system records.
• Receive incoming merchandise and prepare outgoing items for shipment.
• Conduct training for other employees.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively and ensuring inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.
• Assist with grounds and building maintenance as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer knowledge.
