Warehouse Worker

Job Description

We are currently looking to hire Warehouse Workers with experience in Forklift Operations to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. If you are a motivated individual with a knack for organization and efficient merchandise movement, this position is perfect for you.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This role involves handling merchandise movement tasks, including storing, relocating, and distributing products efficiently. As a Warehouse Worker, you will lead by example, provide training to colleagues, and ensure smooth operations in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently move and organize merchandise within the warehouse.
• Transfer products to and from the show floor, ensuring they are prepared for storage, delivery, or customer pickup.
• Utilize the point of sale system to manage inventory flow accurately.
• Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise, including unloading, inspecting, and preparing for shipment.
• Provide training to new employees and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues, resolving inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring proper equipment handling and facility maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or working towards completion).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
• Experience with POS systems is desirable.
