Job Description

Discover Financial Services is looking for a talented Application Engineer (Full-Stack) to join their Collections Value Stream team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on an Agile Team dedicated to modernizing the Probate and Bankruptcy system, building scalable solutions for both customers and internal operations. Responsibilities

• Contribute to product team deliverables using Java programming technology.
• Diagnose opportunities for automation and efficiency in the end-to-end product delivery cycle.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and develop high-quality features.
• Guide the team in achieving key results and design decisions for assigned products.
• Contribute to technology communities at Discover and advocate for best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
• Technical proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus engineering scale for internal applicants.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, React, Angular, and cloud technologies.
• Strong automation mindset with CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Technologies include Java, Spring, Kafka, Openshift, and Jenkins.
