Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Joyce University on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various trades, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and work effectively both independently and collaboratively. This role involves addressing maintenance tasks across our Draper, UT campus and ensuring facilities are well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance tasks to preserve the campus's appearance.
• Address equipment, appliance, and fixture issues promptly.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and resolve maintenance concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Assist with furniture assembly and installation.
• Contribute to basic cleaning, groundskeeping, and occasional snow removal.
• Utilize troubleshooting skills for plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors on assigned projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance roles.
• Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Licensure in relevant trades is a plus.

Compensation
