Job Description

We are looking for a Preferred Accounts Manager to join our team at Johns Manville Corp - Berkshire Hathaway. As a national accounts manager, you will be responsible for managing business development, account management, and selling efforts for key clients in the roofing/construction industry. You will collaborate with various internal teams to develop tailored value propositions for Preferred Account clients. This role requires strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the commercial roofing market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish JM as a trusted partner for clients.
  • Identify and convert prospect accounts into long-term JM Preferred Account clients.
  • Develop multi-level relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Support sales teams and contractors by driving JM preference.
  • Provide enhanced services and ensure superior customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of roofing/construction industry experience.
  • Experience in business development and/or national account sales.
  • Ability to analyze product lines, negotiate, and navigate complex selling situations.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and work remotely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial building owners, roofing consultants, and specifiers.
  • Advanced sales techniques and industry associations involvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial roofing competitor products.
