Job Description
The Ruby Car Processing and Exceptions Specialist at Avis Budget Group plays a crucial role in handling financial tasks and paperwork exceptions associated with vehicle purchases. The responsibilities include processing vehicle titles and registration to establish or transfer ownership in accordance with state and agency guidelines. This position involves using various software applications for virtual signing of documents and ensuring excellent communication and follow-up skills.
Responsibilities
- Update internal systems with information on trade-in vehicles
- Process trade-in payoff payments to respective lienholders
- Handle other financial and banking-related tasks that may arise
- Generate banking reports via various financial sites/files received
- Process incoming deal paperwork using the LongPen system
- Execute titles according to different state rules
- Mail all documents to proper locations
- Track incoming and outgoing work in a shared system for visibility
- Work to ensure auction or brick-and-mortar stores receive trade titles as needed
- Follow up regularly on any missing paperwork and customer inquiries
- Work with tag agencies, brick-and-mortar locations, and DMVs to ensure completeness of deals
- Complete cross-training in other department functions and stand in for other roles as necessary
- Facilitate the Long Pen signatures process/experience with customers
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- 2-4 years of data entry experience
- Previous customer service and automotive dealership transactional support experience
- Vehicle title experience
- Minimum 2 years banking, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable experience
- Notary Public license required
- Background check and fingerprinting may be required for DMV online processing/supervision
