Safety Officer-SPR

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team at Career Systems Development Corporation. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety practices to create a secure environment for students and staff. Your duties will include conducting safety inspections, providing safety training, and developing safety plans in compliance with regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive working relationships with co-workers
• Create and maintain Center Safety Plans
• Conduct safety training for staff on fire prevention and other safety aspects
• Perform regular inspections of facilities and equipment
• Facilitate safety committee meetings and provide necessary training
• Analyze injuries and near misses to identify trends and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate emergency drills and inspections with relevant authorities
• Prepare and maintain reports to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Design and implement safety orientation programs for new staff and students

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1-year experience in security, fire prevention, or safety
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety procedures
• Valid State driver's license
• Strong communication skills
• CPR/FA Certification required
