Senior Insurance Follow Up Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Insurance Follow Up Specialist to join University of Toledo Physicians. In this role, you will play a crucial part in resolving insurance denials, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing revenue cycle performance. The successful candidate will exhibit strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to resolving outstanding account balances.

Responsibilities

• Document and track all actions taken to resolve claims in the practice management system.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address payment issues.
• Follow established workflows for claims processing and resolution.
• Identify trends in non-payment and implement strategies to improve cash collections.
• Participate in on-site support visits and collaborate with practice leadership for revenue cycle performance.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance denials and revenue cycle management.
• Proficiency in insurance regulations, medical terminology, and billing procedures.
• Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD terminology is preferred.
