Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner - APRN (Mid-Level) to join our team at Cibola General Hospital. As a mid-level provider, you will be responsible for providing accurate assessments, diagnoses, treatments, consultations, education, and follow-up care to patients of varying ages, from newborns to geriatrics. Under the direction of the Supervisory Physician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining records and performing other assigned duties.

Primary Functions

  • Examine patients, record histories, and adhere to proper charting protocols.
  • Collaborate with Physicians and healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive plans.
  • Order tests or images as necessary, analyze results, make diagnoses, and report findings to patients.
  • Administer treatments, prescribe medications, provide health advice, and vaccinate patients.
  • Perform minor surgeries, report deaths and contagious diseases to authorities, and fulfill other assigned responsibilities.

Education and Experience

  • Must possess and maintain a current State of New Mexico license in good standing.
  • Current National Board Certification and DEA registration are required.

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Collaborative nature to work effectively with colleagues for quality healthcare delivery.

Additional Qualifications

  • Prior experience with electronic medical records systems.
  • Bilingualism in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.

Reporting

Directly reports to the Clinic Administrator/Chief of Staff.

Physical Requirements

  • Effective communication with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using computers and related equipment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, use a computer, and perform hand and wrist motions for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and sensory ability for handling and reaching objects.
