Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Assistant to join Bmore Technology in a part-time capacity. You will play a critical role in supporting our management team by handling various clerical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Assist in maintaining the General Ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Handle Data Entry and Documentation tasks by entering financial transactions, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
- Contribute to Bank and Cash Management activities by reconciling statements and monitoring transactions.
- Support Expense Management by reviewing and processing employee expense reports.
- Assist in Financial Analysis tasks by preparing reports and compiling data for review.
- Maintain accurate financial records, provide support during audits, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Manage Sales and Use Tax submissions and Vendor License Reconciliation processes.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Online.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma with bookkeeping coursework required.
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
