Job Description
We are looking for an Application Engineer to join our team at Discover Financial Services. As an Application Engineer, you will collaborate with product designers and user experience experts to enhance the discover.com platform. Your responsibilities will include analyzing, designing, programming, testing, and deploying new features with high quality standards. You will guide a team of engineers, partner with technology communities, and actively manage risks and customer-impacting issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Internal applicants should have a technical proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus engineering scale.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Java
- Spring Boot
- React
- Experience with UI Technology
- TDD, BDD
- Selenium/Cucumber for test automations
- Knowledge of Cloud and containerization
- Strong team player
