Direct Support Lead

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Starting at $12.00 per hour

D&S Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are intensely focused on expanding access to services and delivering supports and services to individuals with a range of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) and participate in administrative duties such as staff hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Supervise a team of Caregivers supporting individuals receiving services.
  • Provide support to individuals receiving services, including assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning, medication administration, and personal care.
  • Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings or providing transportation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing and vehicle insurance if providing transportation.
  • All state-required training and certification completed in mandated timeframes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
