Expert Vulnerability Analyst ( Third Party Vendor Risk Management )

Job Description

We are looking for an Expert Vulnerability Analyst to join Discover Financial Services. As a key player in our team, you will drive strategic Compliance/Vulnerability management decisions, consult on next-generation systems, and act as a thought leader in the industry. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead in third party cybersecurity risk programs and grow as a leader.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to upper management and cybersecurity architects.
• Define and promote the strategic direction of the team aligned with business risk.
• Develop cyber solutions, standards, and threat intelligence workflows to maximize protection.
• Advise on risk matters and ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and legal requirements.
• Lead and mentor the team in conducting comprehensive security assessments of third-party vendors.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Information Security or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years in third-party vendor risk management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Familiarity with industry cybersecurity frameworks and certifications like GIAC, CISSP, or CISM.
• Understanding of Incident Response, penetration testing principles, and risk management frameworks.
