Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Valley Counseling Services, a program of Family & Community Services, Inc. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with daytime shifts, Monday to Friday, although flexibility may be necessary based on agency needs. The LPN will report to the Clinical Director and Medical Director, providing essential medical support to clients under the guidance of our healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Administer medication as directed by physicians.
- Monitor and record client behavior, condition, and medication responses.
- Provide emergency care and first aid services.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated client care.
Qualifications
- Practical nursing degree and licensure in the state of Ohio.
- Experience in mental health nursing is preferred.
- Training in medication administration and emergency procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to meet agency requirements for background checks.
- Physical ability to fulfill job duties, including driving and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to participate in continuous training and education.
Compensation
