Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Walla Walla Foundry, a leading fine art fabricator, is currently hiring a Part-Time Janitorial Maintenance Technician to join the janitorial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for general custodial duties and scheduled maintenance tasks in an industrial setting. This role offers a starting wage of $17 to $20 per hour, Sick Leave, Paid Holidays, 401k, and more benefits. Ideal for individuals with 1+ years of janitorial, custodial, or maintenance experience, who are safety-conscious and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize industrial working areas/floor space.
• Perform general cleaning duties such as dusting and replenishing supplies.
• Operate forklifts to move materials and clear debris from building entries.
• Monitor janitorial product inventory and communicate maintenance needs.
• Check company email and maintenance programs for communication and updates.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED with 1+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Safety-first approach and ability to perform physical job requirements.
• Comfort with technology/apps and communication skills.
• Must be reliable, efficient, and trustworthy.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry varying weights, stand, bend, twist, climb stairs, kneel, and work in small spaces. Must be able to operate foot controls and wear necessary PPE.
