Job Description

We are seeking a Maritime Scheduler to join Marine Hydraulics International, LLC. As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for preparing detailed production schedules, updating ship repair schedules, and providing reports in compliance with contract requirements and internal processes.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a logical Work Breakdown Structure based on standard Work Items and reference drawings.
  • Integrate work from Program Managers, Project Managers, internal trades, Subcontractors, and Government entities into a single Integrated Production Schedule.
  • Resource load production schedule using Work Item estimates.
  • Update schedule to reflect contract changes and progress updates.
  • Analyze data for errors and conflicts, recommending resolutions to prevent project delays.
  • Prepare weekly schedule status reports and participate in project meetings.
  • Assist in Critical Path and Controlling Work analysis, exploring alternate sequencing scenarios and providing feedback to the Project Team.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of project planning and management experience or completion of Scheduler-In-Training position requirements at MHI.
  • Prior experience in shipyard, industrial, or construction industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, etc.).

Working Conditions

This role is primarily office-based with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions. The position may require sitting for extended periods, occasional lifting, and motor coordination skills.
