Job Description

Marine Hydraulics International, LLC is looking for a meticulous Maritime Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and updating detailed production schedules for ship repair projects, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring project progress reports are delivered accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a logical Work Breakdown Structure for production schedules based on standard Work Items and reference drawings.
  • Integrate work from Program Managers, Project Managers, internal trades, Subcontractors, and Government entities into a single Integrated Production Schedule.
  • Resource load production schedule using Work Item estimates.
  • Update schedules with contract changes and progress updates.
  • Identify errors and conflicts in data, recommending solutions to prevent project delays.
  • Generate weekly schedule status reports and participate in project meetings.
  • Analyze Critical Path and Controlling Work, providing feedback on impacts of additional work requirements.
  • Assist with 'what if' scenarios to explore alternate sequencing for project optimization.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Two years of project planning and management experience or completion of Scheduler-In-Training requirements at MHI.
  • Prior experience in shipyard, industrial, or construction industry preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software like Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Working Conditions

This is an on-site position in an office environment with exposure to outdoor conditions. The role may involve sitting for long periods, lifting objects up to 25 lbs, and occasional physical activities. Candidates should have good motor coordination and the ability to perform basic arithmetic and express ideas effectively.

Compensation

Salary Range: $58,000 - $74,000 per year.
