Position Summary:

The OSP Team Lead plays a vital role in facilitating the construction of a Fiber-to-the-Home network build within our Mid-West region. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for all OSP fiber construction in the market, ensuring safety and quality control is maintained on all builds.

Compensation:

$33-$36/hr based on experience, with company truck and cell phone reimbursement, plus $500 sign-on bonus. Benefits include Health, Vision, Basic Dental & Life Insurance, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe environment and ensure safety standards are met.
  • Oversee construction field operations.
  • Coordinate and schedule field activities and resources.
  • Forecast construction timelines and address issues to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure project success within schedule and budget.
  • Manage cross-team collaboration for timely project completion.
  • Prioritize and see projects through to completion.
  • Communicate progress and project scopes effectively.
  • Handle daily updates and feedback for troubleshooting.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Knowledge of network drawings and fiber optic infrastructure.
  • Experience in operational improvement and project management.
  • Deep understanding of outside plant fiber optic network engineering.
  • Experience with project management tools and FTTH design.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in fiber network deployments.
  • Proficiency in team management and troubleshooting.
