Press Operator Setup Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Press Operator Setup Technician to join Select Industries Corp. As a Punch Press Setup Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating punch press machines to produce metal parts according to specifications. Your role will involve machine setup, material handling, quality control, machine operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, safety compliance, record-keeping, continuous improvement, and collaboration with team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Set up punch press machines according to job specifications.
• Material Handling: Load metal sheets or coils onto the machine.
• Quality Control: Monitor production output to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on punch press machines.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or production issues.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Proven experience in punch press setup and operation in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of punch press machines and safety protocols.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
