Principal Product Owner - Talent Management and Learning

Discover Financial Services is seeking a Principal Product Owner to join the HR Technology team and partner with Talent Management and Learning business leaders. In this role, you will lead the prioritization of business requests, define key product features, and ensure alignment with product vision, features, and best practices. It requires owning product documentation, defining non-functional requirements, and building a culture of accountability and ownership across different product teams. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years' experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead prioritization of business requests and ensure proper resourcing and planning.
• Define key product features and roadmaps in partnership with business leaders.
• Align with product vision, features, and best practices; create product documentation.
• Identify high-level business requirements and non-functional requirements.
• Own definition of Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and features/user stories.
• Prioritize product enhancements log and ensure compliance with standards.
• Create and validate user story acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Data Stewards and establish a culture of accountability.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related.
• 6+ years' experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related fields.
• In lieu of a degree, 8+ years' experience in relevant fields.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Workday's Talent Management and Performance Management products.
• Project Management experience (PMP a plus).
• Experience in business requirements gathering, User Acceptance Testing facilitation.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodology.

Compensation: Base pay $110,500.00 to $154,900.00 plus incentives.
