Job Description
Red River Commodities is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to develop and deliver capital projects at our manufacturing facilities. This position is based in Fargo, ND and will involve 10-20% travel to other locations. The successful candidate will work closely with facility staff, subject matter experts, vendors, and contractors to manage assigned capital projects through the entire project life cycle, ensuring the most cost-effective and safe solutions are implemented.
Responsibilities
- Lead project scope development and identify the most effective solutions
- Manage multiple projects in different phases simultaneously
- Provide engineering technical assistance to facility staff
- Develop detailed turnaround schedules for process systems that require plant downtime
- Adhere to engineering policies and standards used within the company
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or agricultural engineering, or a combination of a technical degree with relevant experience
- 3-5 years of process engineering experience
- Project management experience required
- Proven ability to work safely in and around large mechanical and electrical equipment
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards, HAACP, and other food safety standards
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
