Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Community Services Registered Nurse at Matheny School and Hospital in Frelinghuysen, NJ. The Registered Nurse will serve as the primary nurse for a caseload of community residents, providing skilled nursing care and ensuring continuity of care. This role involves leadership, documentation, education, coordination of care, crisis intervention, policy recommendations, and fostering professional relationships with healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as primary nurse for assigned caseload.
• Provide skilled nursing care to community residents.
• Interact with staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Facilitate teamwork between nurses, DSPs, and clinical departments.
• Document health care in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct education on residents' health issues.
• Coordinate care with Direct Support Professionals.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid NJ Registered Nurse license.
