Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc. As the Care Team Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing clinical leadership to our care team, ensuring the smooth flow of operations and delivering high-quality care to our patients. Under the supervision of the Pediatrician, Nurse Practitioner, and Nurse Manager, you will manage high-risk and chronically ill patients, provide education to patients and families, conduct direct care and laboratory services, and handle telephone and direct triage.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate expertise in infection control and standard precautions.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to pediatric patients and maintain proficiency in using medical equipment.
  • Assess and address the physical, emotional, and socio-economic needs of clients and families.
  • Deliver urgent triage care in-office and via telephone, leveraging EMR for accurate documentation.
  • Facilitate communication among patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer vaccines, medications, and perform in-office procedures efficiently and professionally.
  • Coordinate post-hospitalization care to prevent complications and readmissions.
  • Maintain ongoing pediatric-focused education and training.
  • Adhere to practice policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role effectively.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaborate effectively within a care team.
  • Proficiency in handling sensitive medical information and ensuring HIPAA compliance.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and email communication.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN or LPN license in Massachusetts, with BLS certification and CEUs.
  • Adherence to American Nursing Association Standards of Practice.
