Senior Buyer

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Buyer to join Premier Marine, responsible for planning and procuring materials, supplies, and services while meeting quality, cost, and delivery requirements. This role involves managing material acquisition, inventory reconciliation, and collaborating with suppliers and colleagues at all organizational levels. We need a proactive problem solver with excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Order materials based on sales requirements and ensure timely deliveries.
• Analyze forecast accuracy and optimize safety stock levels.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage key supplier relationships and lead negotiations.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems, specifically EPICOR.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively.
• Bachelor's Degree in supply chain or related field, with at least 3 years of purchasing or inventory management experience.

Physical Requirements

This role requires sitting, standing, walking the manufacturing floor, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
